Stuart George Parker's Obituary
Stuart George Parker, 92, born in Eau Claire, WI on February 22, 1923, passed away in peace on March 6, 2015. He was the fourth of 7 children. His family moved to Tacoma in 1941, and in 1943, he married Charlene Haddon.
Stuart was a WW II veteran, serving in both India and China. In 1954, he had a home built in Fife, where he and Charlene lived until her death in 2007. He was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years, then a Puget Sound Bank courier for 10 years.
He was well-known for his beautiful yard and vegetable garden, and he loved taking the family on Sunday drives, even after a long week delivering mail. We will all remember his warmth, optimistic outlook, and sense of humor.
He is survived by daughters Sharon and Judy, grandchildren Tara, Stuart, Mara and Alyssa, 4 great-grandchildren, and sisters Nancy Deutsch and Chris Carty. He was preceded in death by sisters Marion, Harriet, Hilda and brother Tony.
Stuart's family is especially grateful to Janice, Hazel and the staff at LG Trinity for their loving care during his stay there.
Private burial at Mountain View Memorial Park. Remembrances can be made to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma.
“Sleep well, soldier!”
