The other day I saw the adult face of someone I once met on the playground as a child.
I rarely open the newspaper these days and to chance upon his obituary page was something akin to an 'out of body experience'. The first page opened and first picture in view. Words still fail to convey how perplexing this is. That I would even be reading the paper is a remarkable coincidence and I had just been thinking about this guy not too long ago.
I knew very little of Stormie since he was one grade older. I never forgot his unique name and even asked around a few years back 'what ever happened to that Stormie Johanson kid?'. My only memory is of him riding his bike across the Larchmont Elementary playground. Just barely recalling his face and name after all these years.
Stormie, while I did not know you I feel a loss in your passing. Your face is part of my memories of youth. It makes me sad to think we will not meet again in this world.

I read the obit yesterday Stacie Leslie and Renee know already. how tragic it is to see a young life as stormie's end so soon. I can only imagine the demons that plagued his life constantly. I wish he didn't end his life to escape them I truly am saddened by his death having grown up together as kids it was hard being in a family of only girls and one boy, I appreciated the time we were together because he was sort of like a little brother in my eyes growing up. I hope he is at peace with himself finally though what a tragic loss to everybody. I regret to say that I will not be attending the memorial service but Mandy will though my heart goes out to for this sad loss of a good young man peace be with stormie wherever he is##imported-begin##Greg Minhinnett##imported-end##
