Steven Routson's Obituary
Steven Routson was born on July 13th, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio where he lived until 1972. His parents were Jim and Kate Routson. He was the first of three children.
Steven attended Wayne High School where he was a football and track star. He earned his certificate from Bates Technical College for auto body work. After graduation, he began a career as a USS Navy man. He served in the Navy from 1972-1975 during the Vietnam war. Afterwards, Steven worked at the Naval ship yard. Steven retired in 2014 after serving for thirty four years.
Steven was married to Rosemarie Routson on August 9, 1975 in Tacoma, Washington. His most important events were marrying the love of his life and the births of his nieces and nephew.
Five words to describe Steven are thoughtful, loving, compassionate, goofy and charming. He loved the chicken dance, country and rock music.
Steven is survived by his wife Rosemarie Routson, his sister in law Katie Moser, brother in law Jeff Ristvet, niece and goddaughter Evelyn Moser, sister in law Jeanne Moser, brother in law Bob Moser, niece Jessica Houser (Mark), nephew/godson Jonas Moser, great niece Roslyn Houser, sister Nancy Meniola (Bill), and brother Jeff Routson (Carol).
