Just found out about this tragedy now when I was seeing what he was up to these days. My heart goes out to his son and family. Thank you for your service. Such a sacrifice which will be remembered. I considered him my best friend in the early 80s when growing up. Had a lot of fun and fond memories with our bike rides all over Lakewood to the arcade or 7-11, swimming in Steilacoom Lake, and hanging out at my house beating him on my Atari 2600 (that always pissed him off but we had fun!) We were both a bit awkward and gelled really well. Will always remember his sarcastic sense of humor. He was a really funny guy and a gentle soul. Sadly we lost touch as teenagers. Did bump into him again at Pierce college and was impressed with the man he became. Look at his marine picture he became a badass. After that lost touch with him for decades until I found him on Facebook. Feel bad we only sent a few messages and never saw him again but that usually happens when you grow up. Take care my friend. You were a positive influence on me and will always be remembered.
