Steven Andrew Mackey's Obituary
Steven A. Mackey "SAM" 1935-2008 Steven passed away on February 14, 2008. Born in Tacoma, he was a graduate of Stadium High School and the University of Puget Sound. He was a technical illustrator with the Boeing Company for 34 years. He was a past president and life member of The Tacoma Astronomical Society, and wrote astronomical columns for both The News Tribune and The Seattle Times for a number of years. He was a member and past president of the Boeing Employees' Mineralogical Society, and an inveterate rockhound. He was also a member of The Over the Hill Gang Volkssport Club. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and two sons: David (Melissa) of Corsica, France, and Douglas (Lynn) of Tacoma. He is also survived by one grandson, Zacheo David, of Corsica, France. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
