Stephen M. Seaworth's Obituary
Stephen Mays Seaworth, “Steve,” was born on July 4th, 1948 in Phoenix, AZ and raised by parents Agnes Marie Fisher and Howard Seaworth.
His family moved to Tacoma, WA when he was two years old, where he resided for the rest of his life. After high school, he began his time in the Marines in February 1968. He bravely served in the Vietnam War, earning several medals and awards before exiting the service in February 1972. He then began his career at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, during which he attended some college and worked until his retirement in February 2005.
Steve loved his family. He loved traveling with his wife. They would just jump into a car and drive anywhere. He loved to hunt, camp, fish, bowl, and go antiquing. He enjoyed quality time in his backyard, workshop, working on projects, tinkering, creating, crafting, and building squirrel and bird feeders. He lovingly created planter boxes, recycling materials, and putting smiles on his grandchildren’s faces. Spending time with them lit up his life.
Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Agnes, his brother Rusty, and step-father, Howard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Seaworth, his children, Steve (Maricel), Stacey (Joe), Lanae, and Howard, and step-children Dottie (Neil), Del (Sarah), and William (Shay), his sister, Susie, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his twenty-three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren (with one on the way!)
Steve Seaworth will be missed dearly by his friends, family, and community. Please honor the life and memory of Stephen by leaving cherished memories, messages, and photos for the family on the guestbook page.
