Luke and Peter, I am so very sorry to hear of your father’s passing. I am sure you remember the mean days and evenings that I spent with your mom and dad during some pretty rough times in my own life. What you probably don’t know is that in a very real way your dad was my guardian angel. He always asked to help me in whatever way he could. He was the kind of man that would literally give you the shirt off his back. I met Steve in class my senior year at Lakes. He made me laugh and we became friends. My last day of school my friend walked me to my car. At my graduation (a year before his) I walked across the stage after getting my diploma and he was there to make sure I didn't trip down the stairs as he was for all the other girls grads on that side. About 7 years later we dated a little. And fast forward 30 more years and we connected again. He was fumny again and he told the waitress that we were on our first date in 35 years and other things. I was embarressed but laughing just the same. It was like no time had passed. It's been almost 3 years since we spoke.
Peter and Lucas, your father couldn't have been prouder to have you two as his sons. You were the brightest lights in his life. He loved you more than words (or he) could say. And Stephanie, he was also proud of you and your sister.
My heart goes out to you all. My heart is broken as well. He is at peace now but causing a ruckus.
He always did and will have a special place in my heart.
May God comfort you all and give you strength.

Dear Luke and the Schindele family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I met and became friends with your Dad because of Bellarmine football. He was an incredible supporter of his sons and their activities. He spoke fondly of his boys and his love for them. He was so very proud of both.
