I was going through old slides recently and found a picture of Steve when we were graduating medic training at Ft Sam Houston, Tx in 1973. We met on the plane on our way to basic training at Ft Leonard Wood from Portland. Due to our last names being alphabetically close we were always together in basic training, then medic training and Army practical nurse training at Ft Gordon, Ga. we became good friends and did everything together our first year in the army. We were then both stationed at Madigan at Ft Lewis together. I got married in 1974. He taught my wife how to cook her first turkey for thanksgiving that year. I stayed in the army and was transferred and lost touch with Steve. Seeing his picture recently sent me on a google search for him. Sadly discovering this obituary. My condolences to the family.
