Stephen Matthew Paul, Jr.'s Obituary
Stephen "Juicy" Paul Jr., 63, of Tacoma passed away peacefully after a short illness August 14, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tacoma, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born April 23, 1951 in Longview to Billie and Stephen Paul Sr. Steve married Judy McMahan on June 6, 1992. He graduated in 1969 from Kelso High. He worked for Ross Simmons and Pacific Shipping & Lumber. In 1986 he moved to Tacoma, WA to work at his dad's pipe bending company called Raceway Technologies. After his father's death in 1992, Steve became the owner of the company. Steve was especially proud to work alongside his only child, Joshua Paul. "Juicy" played Rugby with the Portland Pigs and Longview Rugby Club. He faithfully donated to the Tacoma Nomads. He was a member of the Tacoma Elks, Ocean Shores Eagles and the Commander of the Ocean Shores Pirates. Steve loved traveling with his wife to Las Vegas and to Ocean Shores. Steve was a good friend, always willing to help anyone. He loved cooking and holding his pickle making parties. The love of his life came along when his grandson Max William Paul, fondly called "Mugsy Blue" was born. Mugsy Blue will never forget his Papa Steve, they share the same birthday. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Steve Paul Sr., his grandparents Ed and Rene Harmon, Delia and Ed McCarty and his beloved cats Mika, Sophie and Roxy. He is survived by his wife Judy of Tacoma, his only child, Joshua (Tracie) of Tacoma and his grandson Max William (Mugsy Blue) Paul. He is also survived by his mother Billie Paul Wiehn (Ray) of Kelso and his sister Becky Paul Morkert (Jim) of Longview, his mother-in-law Sue McMahan of Kelso and several aunts, uncle, sisters and brothers in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, too many to name. A celebration of Steve "Juicy's" life will be held on Monday, September 1st at Raceway Technology 1427 E. 26th, Tacoma, WA, starting at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pierce County Humane Society Cremation has taken place at Mountain View Funeral Home of Tacoma, WA.
