Celebrating the beautiful life of my dear, dear big brother. He's always been my close friend and a spiritual resource, lifting me up when life pulled the rug from under my feet. He was a strong guy with the scars of a well-lived, hard-working, and adventurous life. He was funny and playful and I know he is now having fun in the heavens (hopefully at high speeds). Covid took him from us too soon.
Pappy, you have such a special place in my heart. You were always protective of us girls, making sure we were treated right by your boys. I know I tattled on him as often as I could…and we shared a special bond over our sweets and spaghetti westerns. There are so many memories of you and our family it’s impossible to post them all but they will keep in our hearts and memories. I’ll miss you everyday until we meet again. We are so lucky to have you watching over us. I love you!
I have many great memories of serving in leadership with Steve at Elim for many years. The Elders often enjoyed the hospitality of his beautiful rec room as a meeting place.
As we lived close, I frequently walked to his house for a chat, or a cigar on his deck with a fabulous view of Mt. Rainier and July 4th fireworks.
Perhaps my favorite memory is riding around town with Steve in his classic 'vette. He even let me drive it! (Briefly.)
Steve was a kind and generous friend, a devoted follower of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and deeply committed to his family. He is and will be missed!
Steve was a good friend for many years. I loved his sense of humor and generosity. He will be sorely missed by all. May God give comfor to the family.
Lorna and family I’m so sorry for your loss. Grateful to have had Steve as my brother n law since I was a little girl, then an amazing Uncle and Great Uncle to my kids. Steve also led as a father image to my daughter. My grands were all initiated with his fun Donald Duck Quack and they loved to climb up on his loving lap! I’ll forever cherish all the humor-pranks, support and loving memories. Rest In Peace Steve, love you forever and always 💙✨
