Stephen Stanley Fintak Jr.'s Obituary
Stephen Stanley Fintak Jr, 89, was born on June 12, 1927 in Buffalo, New York and passed away peacefully on November 11, 2016 in Tacoma, Washington.
Stephen was a true American hero, dedicating his life to the military where he served 7 years in the Coast Guard and 30 years in the Army Infantry, earning the rank of Sgt Major, Ret. He also spent 20 years working for the state of Washington as a Correctional Officer at McNeil Island.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ancha; children, Stephen M. Fintak, Mary A. Fintak, and John S. Fintak; grandchildren, Rebecca D. Fintak and Allison J. Fintak; brothers, Richard Fintak and Billy Fintak; sister, Carolyn Fintak and many close friends.
A viewing will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, Washington on Thursday, November 17th at 1:30 followed by a Graveside Service at 2:30pm.
