Solipo Salausa's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Reverend Solipo Salausa who passed away on December 27, 2014. Born on January 23, 1932 in Si'ufaga Ta'u Manu'a to Solipo Salausa and Leitu Fa'atoalia. He served as Pastor of The First Independent Samoan Assembly of God Church in Tacoma. In his early life he worked in construction, as a carpenter, and as a policeman in Samoa. He worked as a supervisor for Ackron in California and Almond Roca in Tacoma, Wa. He served as Pastor for several Christian churches from California to Washington. He also volunteered for a Samoan Senior Citizens Community as a chef. His favorite hobbies include boxing and baking. He is well known for his famous sweet bread.
He is survived by his brother Fasia Salausa, wife Faivale Salausa, his children Siaosi Malepe, Sialele Malepe, Fuluula, Talalima, Solipo Levi Salausa Jr, Lupelele Salausa-Pastor, Sinalela Salausa-Sua, Punipuao, Solipo Salausa Jr, Otto Salausa , Jason Salausa, Johnny Salausa, his 29 grandchildren, and 6 greatgrand children.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Ioana Salausa, son Jacob, and daughter Mary. His brother's Maluelue Tuionu'u Salausa and Otto Salausa. His sister's Peivi Salausa, Vitolia Salausa, Aogasolo Salausa, and Filioali'I Salausa.
Favorite Scripture- 2 Corinthians 5:17- "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
Family Services will be held on Friday, January 23rd, at 5-6:30pm
Funeral Service from 6:30-8:30pm
Burial Service will be on Saturday, January 24th, 10am-12pm
