I was lucky to have been given another Dad after my Father passed away. Sig was such a delight. I've never known a man with such compassion for doing the "right thing". *Sigh* Wow, I can't believe that grandpa is gone. but after waiting for fifteen years, he is finally with grandma again. And I am sure he is so much better now. I will never forget when he used to pick us up with our fists in his hands, adn it was so cool, becaus we used to think he was sooooo strong. Sig was my Father-in-law for a time. He was a man I respected and looked up to. He was always ready to lend and ear and to counsel as God led him. He was frequently found in his office with his Bible close at hand if not in hand. He had a very gentle nature about him. He loved life fully and was proud of the work that he had acclomplished. He almost always had a smile and a joke or anacdotal story to cheer up a down-hearted person. He loved all his kids and grandkids with ferver and compassion. His presence will be missed greatly. Grandpa Gulbraa was a great grandfather who cared dearly about his family. He lived a wonderful life full of hard work, love, and gentleness. I will miss going over to his house and seeing him there working in his shop. He was a great craftsman who loved to do hands-on work. He always kept himself busy through some kind of workshop project. Grandpa was someone who always opened up his home to those around him whether it be to those 150+ foster children that came through or having his family come over for visits.
