Sigrid helped her siblings after high school with helping care for her sister-in-law when she was pregnant with one of her children. Sigrid also worked at Boeing in 1943-44 during WWII. After that, she moved back to North Dakota where she was married to Eddie O. Mack and moved to Minnesota. She worked in the kitchen at Northrup Elementary School in Thief River Falls, MN where she cooked meals for students. From there she worked in the office of Washington Elementary School, also in Thief River Falls, MN. From there Sigrid came to Tacoma, Washington and started working for The Department of Labor and Industries in Tacoma, from there Sigrid retired.
Sigrid was a very good seamstress who sewed for family and friends. She made handmade quilts and blankets among other things.
Her greatest passion was her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the most important things to her. Sigrid would go out of her way to help family, even to the point where she may not have enough for herself.

The last six years, Jorge Alarcon has provided Sigrid with the best care I have ever seen. He is the kind of person who goes out of his way to make sure the people he cares for have the best care possible.
