Siaosi F. Tolupauga Hunkin's Obituary
Siaosi Tolupauga Fai’ivae Hunkin Jr, of Pago Pago, American Samoa passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the age of 88. After several months of declining health, Siaosi died peacefully at home in Tacoma, WA with his children by his side.
Siaosi was born in Faga’alu, Am. Samoa on January 21, 1934 to father Tuiloma Siaosi Fai’ivae Hunkin Sr. and mother Falefatu Fa’anenefu Afoa Hunkin from the villages of Fagatogo and Leone, Am. Samoa. Siaosi was the youngest of three children. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1952 and was honorably discharged 1954.
Siaosi was a kind, loving, humble, stubborn person who loved his family and his God. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Leafaitulagi Situa Igafo Hunkin, his parents Tuiloma & Fa’anenefu Hunkin, his sister Maluolefale Hunkin Salave’a, and son Jeffrey Hunkin. He is survived by his 16 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
