Shontelle Monique Greenhouse, affectionately known to all who loved her as “Shoni,” passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on March 29, 1982, Shoni lived her life authentically, and entirely on her own terms.
Smart and genuinely funny, Shoni possessed a sharp wit and an infectious humor. She was fiercely independent and held strong in her beliefs. Above all else, her heart belonged to her family.
Shoni’s greatest pride and joy were her three sons. She is survived by her children: Adan, Dominic, and Roman, who will carry forward her strength and love.
She joins in heaven her mother Lee, brother Paul, niece Malia, uncles Ralph and James (Jimmy), and many more family members.
She is survived by her father, Arthur Atkins; her siblings, Michael Greenhouse (Alicia), Takishia Rodrick (Kyle), Derrika Greenhouse-Bernard (Jean), Tracy Scott, Bayyinnah Drones, and Bianca Scerdo; her uncles, Devron Atkins, John Kolbas, and Pat Kolbas; as well as a large, loving extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of cherished friends who loved her dearly
