Shirley Ann Stich's Obituary
Shirley A. Stich Of Tacoma, Washington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2017 with her daughter Sheryl, niece Cindy and Cindy's husband Joe by her side. Shirley was born in 1927 in New York City to Anne and Frank Ruman, and moved with her family to western Washington when she was 12. She met her future husband Tom while ice skating at the former Lakewood Ice Arena, and it was love at first sight. They were married from 1950 until his death in 2010. She lived a happy life and is survived by her daughter Sheryl, sister Elaine, dog Penny, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends she considered family. We will miss her smiling face. She treasured being a wife and mother, had a quick wit and loved making people laugh. She also loved kids, animals, and traveling with her husband. There will be no memorial. But donating to any animal shelter of your choice would make Shirley smile.
