Shirley M. Hammeken
Shirley was born in Jamestown, North Dakota on Feb. 23, 1932, and went to be with the Lord on Oct. 21, 2010. As a very young child her family moved to Washington. She attended schools and worked during her teen years in the South Tacoma area. In 1950 she married childhood friend, James Hammeken. They had many happy years together, and had three children. She enjoyed family gatherings, little children, trips to Reno, and the local casinos. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, one brother, one sister, and one great granddaughter. Survived by children, Roseanna Standish, Peggy (Wayne) McClain and Steven Hammeken; granddaughters, Amy McClain, Lisa McClain, Andrea Perez, and Amber Haley; five great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, and many more family members. We'll miss you, our precious Mother. Services will be held at Mt. View Funeral Home, the Garden Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Tues., Oct. 26th, 2010.
