Shirley Jean DePoe's Obituary
Shirley Jean DePoe, born July 27, 1925, passed away peacefully at Franciscan Hospice House surrounded by her family, December 27, 2010. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Hollos and husband Joe; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, cousins and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Warren DePoe, son Douglas DePoe and niece Jayme Ostenson. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's visits. She was hospitable and generous with her time. Never one to pry she would listen without being judgmental and offered advice only when asked. She was a caregiver for her aunt and uncle during their senior years and through the years helped others as well. Shirley was employed by AT&T and retired after 46 years in 1993. She kept in touch with her co-workers of many years. Her tender heart, love and compassion for others will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Joseph Regimbal for over 20 years of care. Special thanks to Millie of WeCare AFH and the caring staff at Franciscan Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at Mountain View on Friday January 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in The Garden Chapel. Pastor Randy Haas and Linda Conway of Hope Lutheran Church will be officiating. Public viewing to take place January 6, 2011 from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M.
