Shigeko Boyer's Obituary
Shigeko Boyer Born 9 March 1928 has passed away on 15 June 2008. She was married to Clair Boyer until his death in 1975. Mrs. Boyer was a resident of Tacoma, WA. since 1968. She is survived by her son, Richard. A loving gentle and honest mother, Shigeko worked hard as a house cleaner. She earned her GED and became a naturalized US citizen in 1993. Full of life, Shigeko enjoyed people and always respected others. She believed in the human spirit, treating all persons with love and kindness. Humor and a smile were her trait through out her life, even during the difficult times. Reading, cooking, watching movies and sumo wrestling, gardening, sewing, collecting movies were a few of her hobbies. She was a member of SGI-NSA buddist since 1959. As a teacher and a leader, Shigeko helped many members overcome tough personal issues in their lives. Their happiness brought her joy. "Her enthusiasm for living will be missed, we loved her so much." A memorial service will be held at the Tacoma SGI-NSA Kikan at 4PM Saturday, 21 June. Mountain View Funeral Home is handling the cremation service.
