SHERMAN WARD
SUNRISE 3/25/1948 - SUNSET 5/16/2020
Beloved brother survived by siblings Wayman Buchanan, Leroy Ward, Frances Bailey, Patricia
Brown, L’Tanya Brabham and Joyce Dunn. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother
Versie Buchanan and stepfather Don Buchanan. Sherman was lucky to have many wonderful
nieces and nephews that he acted as daddy and uncle to. They gave him much joy, love and
pride, and he was adored by each and everyone of them.
Sherman was an entrepreneur with many businesses he owned in Milwaukee such as a beauty
supply store, rental properties and more. Sherman moved to Tacoma, WA in 2003 where he
lived until he succumbed to his longtime illness peacefully.
A private graveside service will be held at Rest in Peace Cemetery in Little Rock, AR. Due to
the recent pandemic and safety concerns, a celebration and time of remembrance of
Sherman’s life will be held at a future date.
