Sherman McMichael Jr.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sherman McMichael, Jr. on January 17, 2024. He transitioned at the age of 85 with dignity in University Place, Washington after a long battle with kidney failure and other medical issues. Through it all he kept a positive attitude and talked about his faith in God.
Sherman McMichael Jr was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 25,1938 to the late Flora Mae and Sherman McMichael, Sr. He spent his early years in Cleveland, Ohio with numerous friends and family members. He enlisted in the military as a young man and retired from Army service while stationed at Ft. Lewis Washington. After his service to the Army, he worked as a civil service representative with the Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judith Helene McMichael, his blended family which includes LaShawn McMichael, Sean McDonald, parents of Logan McDonald, from Sicklerville, New Jersey. India McMichael, mother of Sari Alexis-Grace Baird, of Tacoma, Washington, Brian Meriaho, Vaishali Meriaho, parents of Arin Meriaho, Elena Meriaho, Rani Meriaho from South Orange, New Jersey, and Craig Enloe, Alicia Enloe, parents of Jameson Enloe of Springfield, Oregon, and preceded in death by Jason Meriaho of Renton, Washington and his sister Barbara Jean Harris.
