Sheri Williams-Hanke's Obituary
Sheri Dee Adeline Williams-Hanke
October 18, 1963 – May 27, 2014
Sheri was 50 years old when she passed with family by her side, in her dream home in Graham/Kapowsin, Washington. Unfortunately after a 2 year fight, she lost her battle with breast cancer.
Sheri grew up in University Place, where she attended Narrows View Elementary, Curtis Jr. & Sr. High School. After graduating she went on to Clover Park Technical College for Early Childhood Education. She later
work at Life Center Preschool where she touch many kids lives. She then worked 16 years at Fred Meyer. That is where she met a lot of life long friends, that she continued to stay in touch with today. For the last 8 years Sheri
was able to make her dream come true of being a “stay at home” mother. She took full advantage of watching talk shows, gossiping with friends on the phone, helping her kids with homework, being able to cook dinner, and taking care of
animals of all kinds. Rescuing and fostering many orphaned animals. She had a lot of hobbies but amongst her favorites were shopping at Macy’s & Cold Water Creek, riding her horses, and spa days with her daughter. Sheri enjoyed all kinds of music, but her favorite was Prince and Rod Stewart. She loved dancing, drinking Mai Tai’s, and eating teriyaki. Sheri and her family loved traveling. She wanted to see the world! Her absolute favorite places were Hawaii and Canyon Beach, Oregon.
Sheri was proceeded in death by her mother Dee Ann Boring and her late husband Alfred “Will” Williams. She is survived by her loving husband Stefan Hanke (Julia), her daughter & best friend Shera Fields, and her baby, son Troy Williams.
Her “little” sister Sindi Abra (Darin), father Pat Boring (Young), among many other loving family members and friends. We would like to give a big thank you to the many Doctors and Nurses at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, UW Medical Center, and her
angels Holly, Kathy, and Kim.. You gals made her feel “normal” still. A service for Sheri will be held at Mountain View Memorial on Sunday June 1st at 11 am under the name Williams-Hanke in the Garden Chapel, reception
to follow in the Willow room. In lieu of flowers please donate to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Sheri’s name.
