Shawntae Tucker's Obituary
Shawntae Renae Tucker was a bright light from the moment she entered this world on July 8, 1982. Born in Tacoma, Washington to Tamira Lea Tucker, Shawntae’s childhood was spent in El Paso, Texas, Tacoma and University Place, where she attended Curtis High School.
Family was important to Shawntae, and her greatest honor was being Auntie to her precious niece, LaMyah Slade. Shawntae and her brother, Eric Slade, were best friends and confidantes, and her cousins were her first friends.
The light in our family dimmed on July 8, 2023, when Shawntae transitioned from this world. True to her giving nature, Shawntae’s spirit lives on through her vital donations to others in need. She was met above by her grandfather, Robert James Tucker II. Missing Shawntae are her parents Tamira London and Willie London, Sr., her brother, Eric Drante Slade, Jr., niece, LaMyah Slade, grandmother, Audrey Tucker, aunts and uncles Robert Tucker III and Martina Tucker, Teresa Tucker, and Felix Colon Sr., as well as numerous beloved cousins. Nothing will ever be the same without Shawntae, and we miss her more than we can express.
