Sharylyn Sue Dixon's Obituary
Sharylyn Sue (Monson) Dixon was born in Enid, OK on March 5, 1944. She went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2006 due to complications of kidney disease. She was truly unable to recover from losing Dad just 3 months ago. She lived in Taegu, Korea for 2 years as a teen, graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, TX, and attended Evangel Liberal Arts U., TCC and PLU. She married Leroy Andrew Dixon on December 28, 1968 in Tacoma, WA. They adopted 3 children: 2 from Korea and 1 from S. Dakota.Sharylyn had many talents and gifts that she shared with others over the years. She was a member of WSMTA, Pacific Gallery Artists, as well as being a pianist, piano instructor, composer, author, and artist.Sharylyn was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy, son Benjamin, and sister Melodie Monson. She leaves behind her daughter Candie Paulson (Chris), son James Dixon (Estella), eight grandchildren, brother Paul Monson (Elo), sister Faith LaRoche (Todd), and many nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park.Mom and Dad, you left us too soon.
