Sharon Staples Lambertsen
May 27th, 1937 - April 25th, 2009
Sharon, 71 died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Her long battle with COPD finally ended and she is now at peace. Sharon was born in Lakewood, WA to Lewis and Pauline Staples. Sharon is survived by her loving husband Harold of 47 years and a wonderful care giver over the past few years. He truly knew the meaning of in sickness and in health. Daughters Karen Priest (Gary) of Tacoma, WA, Carol Winkles (David) of GA. Sister Susan Houck of Ohio, step mother Ursula Staples and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved son David, and her parents. A special thank you to Tita and Susan from Hospice for providing loving care and support over the past 2 years. Sharon requested any donations be made to Franciscan Hospice at 2901 Bridgeport Way W. University Place, WA 98466 or Tillicum Community Center at 14916 Washington Ave SW, Lakewood, WA 98498. Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday May 2nd at 1:00pm at the Valley Chapel. 253-584-0252.
