Shannon T. Johnson's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shannon Tyrone Johnson, a man full of life and adventure, who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 54.
Shannon was born in Los Angeles on December 28, 1969, to Nancy Johnson and Earl Johnson. He grew up surrounded by a loving family and a wide circle of friends who cherished him deeply. From a young age, he exhibited a curiosity and zest for life that never waned. At the age of 14, Shannon moved to Seattle, Washington, embarking on a journey of self-discovery that would shape the person he became.
Throughout his life, Shannon was known for his boundless energy, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He believed in the power of connection, always making time for friends, family, and strangers alike. Whether telling stories, enjoying the outdoors, or simply spending time with loved ones, Shannon brought warmth and joy wherever he went. Shannon stayed true to his beliefs,
Shannon had a passion for construction in his younger days, which sparked his interest in building and creating. As he grew older, Shannon found joy in the hustle of life—he had an entrepreneurial spirit and always sought out ways to make money, constantly figuring out how to achieve success the quickest and most innovative way possible. His love for the challenge of problem-solving and finding opportunities set him apart, and his quick thinking and resourcefulness were admired by all who knew him. Shannon’s other passions included buying cars, collecting all sorts of antiques, vibing to music, providing for his family, and spending time with his children. He made lasting memories with everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Shannon is survived by his aunt Jackie Martin, uncle Steven Stephens, siblings Carol Williams (sister), Earl Johnson (brother), Tonya Johnson (sister), and Angel Lee Johnson (sister). He is also survived by his children Laquan Meadows, Dontorya Meadows, Tyrone Meadows, Shaniesha Johnson, Daneka Johnson, and Kanden Schwartz, along with a joyful number of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Nancy Johnson and father Earl Johnson.
A celebration of Shannon’s life will be held on December 5, 2024, at Mountain View Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Address 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW Tacoma, WA 98499 where family and friends can come together to honor his memory and share stories of the incredible man he was.
Shannon’s spirit will remain with us forever, and we will carry his memory in our hearts always.
