Scott A. Matthew's Obituary
Scott Andrew Matthew at the age of 58 died of a heart attack on February 23, 2018.
Scott is survived by his wife Krista J. Matthew, and two daughters Molly K. Matthew and Madison B. Matthew, and older brother Ron Matthew as well as Mother in law Nancy Wallrof, Father in law Paul Wallrof and his sisters in law Lisa Blair and Jena Langston.
He is preceded in death by his Parents Glen and Mary Ann Matthew as well as his siblings Mike, Pam, Deb, and Robb Matthew.
He was born on December 30, 1959 to Glen and Mary Ann Matthew in Tacoma, Washington. He is a Tacoma native and went to Narrows View Elementary, Curtis Jr. High School and graduated from Curtis High School in 1978. Scott and brothers Ron and Robb were local business owners of VanCourt Matthew Overhead Door since 1991 which has been in the family since 1954.
Scott was a great family man, hard worker and loving father. He married Krista on August 15th 1987 and had his two children Molly and Madison.
Scott was a socially active business man involved in TEA (Tacoma Executive Association) where he served on the board; he also enjoyed Golfing, Bowling, and Softball where he earned his nick name “beamer." He loved fishing and WSU football as well as home UW games with Paul “Wally” Wallrof.
His Family and friends will always remember Scott for his laugh and loving nature.
A Celebration of Scott's life will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2018 in the Aspen Chapel with a reception to follow at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Lakewood, Washington.
