Scarlie James Jones Jr.
March 7, 1954 - July 10, 2011
Scarlie James Jones Jr. was born on March 7, 1954 in Chester, PA; preceded in death by his parents Scarlie Sr. and Charity Jones. He graduated from Chester High School in 1973, then he joined the U.S. Army in 1974 at the age of 19. He served 22 years and received the following: Army achievement medal with 3rd Oak leaf cluster, Army service ribbon, good conduct medal 6th award, meritorious service medal, NCO professional development ribbon with number 3, national defense service medal with 1 bronze service star, overseas service ribbon with number 5, expert infantryman badge, expert badge (pistol), expert badge (hand grenade) and sharpshooter badge (rifle M16). After retirement he moved to Tacoma, WA where he lived, worked at Hanson Pipe & Production - Northwest and also was the Shop Steward for Hanson Pipe with local Laborer's Union 252 up until his death. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters La-Kisha Cusack (Teflon), Junction City, KS, and Rashanda Cunningham (Calvin), Cameron, NC, son Scarlie III, Tacoma, WA, uncle Jimmy Harris (Glady's), Spring Grove, VA, grandsons Joshua Jones, Samu-el Cusack, Jacques Satterwhite and Jamare Cunningham. Scarlie also leaves behind one sister, three brothers, and several hosts of friends including his special friends Alena Alves and Kenny McDuffie. There will be a graveside memorial at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th Street, Kent, WA, on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:15 A.M. sharp.
