Sataeleava Toafala Iafeta Jr.'s Obituary
With hearts full of gratitude and love, we celebrate the beautiful life of Toafala Iafeta, Jr., born on February 20, 1974, in Faga'alu, American Samoa, and welcomed into eternal rest on July 28, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington.
From a young age, Toafala embraced life with energy and a spirit of teamwork. In high school and college, he excelled in football, baseball, and track and field—throwing discus and shot put with strength and determination. His enthusiasm and encouragement uplifted every team he joined.
Off the field, Toafala found joy in photography, experimenting with new recipes inspired by cooking videos, and discovering new restaurants—turning every meal into a shared adventure. His soundtrack of choice was island music and worship songs, reflecting both his roots and his faith.
At the center of Toafala’s life were faith and family. Sunday church services, evening prayers, and peaceful family drives became cherished traditions. He lived his values with quiet strength—hardworking, intelligent, loyal, humble, honest, and above all, a loving family man grounded in deep faith.
He shared his life with his beloved wife, Alofa Iafeta, and their children: Toafala Lorenzo Iafeta III, Yvette Beauty Rose Iafeta, Samulimuli Valentine Cynthia Iafeta, Iata Taule'ale'a Walter Iafeta, Pola Fatu, and Liualevaiosina Samulimuli Iafeta Nomura.
Each of them carries forward his strength, humor, and unwavering guidance.
To those who knew him, Toafala will be remembered for his spirited sports debates, his readiness to lend a helping hand, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. His legacy reminds us that true joy is found in faith, family, and the everyday moments we share.
Today, we honor his memory with gratitude—for the love he gave, the example he set, and the light he brought into our lives. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. Services are pending at Mountain View Funeral Home.
