Sata McQuay's Obituary
Sata McQuay Mar. 25, 1926- Feb. 19, 2014 Sata McQuay, 87, died peacefully in her sleep Feb. 19, 2014, at Heartwood Extended Health Care in Tacoma. A long-time resident of Lakewood, she was active in Ikebana and Silk Bonsai demonstrations, and she leaves behind many dear friends in the greater Tacoma area. Born in Aomori City, Japan, Sata was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, and her sister-in-law, Nelle McQuay Evans, also of Lakewood. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her nephew, Michael Evans, of Portland, OR. No services were held, and cremation was handled by Mountain View Funeral Home.
