Darlene Alfredson March 14, 1930 - November 7, 2022 Tacoma, Washington ? Sarah Darlene (Brewer) Alfredson, born in Sutherland, Nebraska on March 14, 1930, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on November 7, 2022. Darlene was the oldest of 4 girls born to Elson and Helen Brewer who preceded her in passing.
Darlene was a loving wife, doting sister, a wonderful daughter, and a most caring mother and aunt. Her roles as grandmother and great grandmother were among her favorites. She never knew a stranger and was a lifelong friend to many. Darlene was called Mom by many kids who entered her home over the years.
Darlene was preceded in death by husband, Marvin, sons Richard and Jeffrey, infant daughter Lisa, and sisters Lois and Deloris. She is survived by sister Wynona, sons David and Scott (Kathi), daughter Ellen (Guy), twin daughters Vicky and Cindy (Dwight), and son-in-law Walt. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene was known for being kind, fun-loving, gracious, hard working and witty.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 11:30am, in the Garden Chapel at Mtn. View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood WA 98499. Private family graveside service follows.
