Sara Elizabeth Givens' Obituary
Sara Elizabeth Givens was born October 5, 1916, in Lascassas, Tennessee, to George and Beulah Hopkins, the sixth child in a family of thirteen. She passed away on January 21, 2011, in Puyallup, Washington. Sara and Olen Givens were married on December 23, 1933, and celebrated their 68th anniversary before Dad passed away in 2002.
She is survived by daughter Peggy Kloes (Hal), sons Charles and John Givens (Ann), grandchildren Steven Hillestad, Lisa Jefferies (Wardell), Sara Jensen (Eric), great grandson Fred Hillestad, sisters Mary Parker and Evelyn Johnson (Bob), and sister-in-law Lorene Hopkins. She was preceded in death by brothers Irvin, Clarence, George, and John Hopkins; sisters Margaret Allen, Gladys Puckett, Christine Adams, Cornelia Herrod, Betty Jernigan, and Jean Poteete.
We want to thank Dr. Robert Marsh and the staff at Good Samaritan Hospital, especially the caring and thoughtful people of the Critical Care Unit. We also want to thank the considerate staffs of Regency and LifeCare in Puyallup.
Services will be held 1pm, Thursday, January 27, 2011, Garden Chapel, Mountain View Funeral Home.
