Sandra Jean Piksa's Obituary
Sandra "Sandy" Jean Piksa was born on June 11, 1946 in Yakima, WA, and passed away March 17, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA at age 79.
She was a wonderful person who loved animals, especially horses and dogs, specifically her own cat and dogs including Missy, Amy, and Kylie. She is probably out riding her horse she had in her youth, Smoky, and with all the dogs she had during her life chasing behind.
She spent her entire working life at Pabco for 42 years. She administered HR for the entire factory and was beloved by all who knew her there.
She loved to travel, traveling to Europe with her mother and always dreamed of going back to Venice, her favorite place. She also loved bowling.
She is preceded in death by her previous husband, Darrell Piksa, who passed on July 21, 2010. She is survived by her loving partner, Don Schouweiler, her son, Paul Hoffine, her sister, Charlene Weber, and extended friends and family who all miss her very much.
In lieu of flowers, Sandy would love it if you donated to Skydog Sanctuary (Link here: https://www.skydogranch.org/donate), Prineville OR. This was her favorite charity to help horses in need.
