Samuel Swirczynski's Obituary
Samuel Francis Swirczynski was born on June 23, 1942, in Muenster, Texas. He passed away in Tacoma, Washington on March 8, 2011. He was predeceased by son, Michael Patrick Swirczynski and his father Arnold Lewis Swirczynski.
Sam served 21 years in the United States Air Force. He retired at the rank of Master Sergeant in July of 1980. Over the years he maintained contact with several of his airforce buddies, who affectionately refer to him as "Tex" or "Ski.
After his retirement from the Air Force, he continued to work for the next 20+ years primarily in building maintenance. He retired from the work force in 2004. Sam loved the outdoors, primarily the mountains. He was an avid hunter, and even fished from time to time. Camping was an all time favorite for him.
Those who knew Sam will remember him for his outrageous sense of humor and the wonderful big smile he had on his face most of the time.He was faithful to any and everyone fortunate enough to call him friend. Words to describe him include loving, honest and dependable. One of the most amazing things about him too was the ability he had to fix just about anything!
This writer alone has enough wonderful stories and memories to fill a library. Those that share these memories and feel his loss, whether he was son, brother, husband, father or friend to them, are too numerous to mention in this single writing. We will keep these memories close to our hearts until the time when all meet again in the Lord's House.
