Samuel E. Â"Mr. TÂ" Tillman , Sr.Samuel Tillman was born in Hattiesburg, MS on September 29, 1931 to Wilbert and Ora Lee Tillman. He passed away at V.A. Hospital in Seattle, WA on May 23, 2003.He retired from the US Army with over 20 years of distinguished service, serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He also retired from the city of Puyallup after 20 years of dedicated service. He will be remembered for his great smiles, love of fishing, and his wonderful Barbecues.Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Ora Lee Tillman; daughter, Jennie; sister, Allene Washington; and brother, Wilbert Tillman.He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Venicia; 5 children, John (Annette) Tillman, Linda Tillman, Anthony Tillman, Phyllis (Eugene) Black, and Samuel Tillman Jr.; 7 step-children, Jose (Kathleen) Salas, Ricardo (Vivian) Salas, David (Kelli) Salas, Pablo (Donna) Salas, Judy (Joe) Anthony, Miguel Salas, and Pedro Salas; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.Heartfelt thanks to the medical personnel at Seattle V.A. Hospital who provided such special care in his final days.Visitation will be from 12pm to 9pm, Friday, May 30, 2003 at Mt. View Funeral Home.Services will be 1pm, Saturday, May 31, 2003 at the Mt. View Valley Chapel.In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society or the Northwest Kidney Foundation.Internment at Tahoma National Cemetery.
