Sallie Hixson O'Neal's Obituary
Sallie H. OÂ'Neal was born January 3, 1926 to Robert and Ozie Hixon in Alabama. She went to rest in the Lord, February 22, 2007 in the home she shared with her eldest daughter. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Tom C. OÂ'Neal, Sr., son Tom C. OÂ'Neal, Jr., daughter Barbara Rackins, two grandchildren Malcolm Marshall and Quincy OÂ'Neal and ten brothers and sisters.Mother OÂ'Neal accepted Christ early in life. A life-long member and mother of C.O.G.I.C. A patient, loving saint, mother, and friend all of her life. Upon leaving Daytona Beach, Florida in 1969 to Tacoma, she became an LPN working at St. Joseph Hospital before retiring to raise four grandchildren, adopting one, Scott OÂ'Neal and raising him until she was 72 years of age. Always prayerful and faithful.Shel leaves to celebrate her homegoing one son, Otil OÂ'Neal, Sr. (California), two daughters Inez Moton andd Edwina Hopper of Tacoma, 2 daughters-in-law Margaret OÂ'Neal (Tacoma) and Denise Moton (California), two brothers Howard Hixson (Florida) and Richard Hixson (Ruth) (Georgia), two sisters Willie Glen (Missouri) and Christine Owens-Duggar (Florida), 3 grandchildren of Tacoma, 4 grandchildren of Florida, 5 grandchildren of California, and 25 great-grandchildren in Florida, California, and Tacoma, as well as host of nieces, nephews, relatives, saints, and friends.
