Sachiko N. Smith's Obituary
Devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Our beloved Sachiko passed away unexpectedly March 26th 2015 at the age of 85. She went to be with the lord peacefully with her son Mike and her beloved daughter in law Rafaela at her side. Sachiko was born October 4th 1930 in Tokyo, Japan. She was always a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was always the love of her life. She worked and retired from the Department of Defense at the Fort Lewis Logistic Center after over 25 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed reading, traveling and an occasional visit to the local casino. Sachiko was preceded in death by her husband George E Smith, mother Koto Ishikawa, and son Steven D Smith. She is survived by her son Michael D Smith, daughter in law Rafaela L Smith, grandchildren Candace Baca, Autumn McLane, and great grandchildren Madison, Tyler, Brody, Jackson and Griffin. She was intensely loved by both her family and friends. We will miss you Mom and the joy you brought all of us. Thank- you for all of the wonderful memories and Thank-you for the life that you provided for. The world is now a less joyful place with you gone. You are now reunited with your loved ones. The Smith family would like to give a special thanks to the Golden Given Family Home especially Shirley Callahan for their care, comfort and love that was given to Sachiko.
