Celebrating the life of Ruth Maxine Young
Ruth was born on August 23, 1924 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Albert A. Brinsfield and Mary (Carpenter) Brinsfield. She was the 4th of five children. She grew up in Oklahoma.
In 1944 she married Loyd Brown in Nevada, deceased.
In 1955 she married Charles Putman Young in Missouri. They moved to Washington state where they lived and raised their family.
She worked in the garment and sewing industry, lastly working at Tacoma Tent and Awning.
She had many self-taught talents. Some of her favorite hobbies included reading, gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting and home canning. She loved growing dahlias and baking home made bread and quilting.
She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family to visit the many national parks, beaches and mountains.
She is survived by her five children: Jerry Brown (June), Linda Bednarczyk (Albert), Charlotte Flores (Sergio), Patricia Marashi (Mohamad), Michael Young.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Ronny Brown, Sean Brown, Victoria Mercer, J. Mike Densmore, Alan Bednarczyk, Robert Bednarczyk, Charam LaFata, Cheyanne Flores, Christian Flores, Kamraun Marashi, Keyan Marashi.
Her great-grandchildren: Eryka Sims, Aaron Clark, Aidan LaFata, Mia LaFata, Kennedy LaFata, Xavier Marashi, Vorian Marashi, Soraya Marashi, Erasmus Marashi.
Her great-great-grandchildren: Abby Clark, Emmy Snider and Joe Snider
Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her siblings Essie Davis, Edward Brinsfield, Velma Rose Brinsfield, Elsie Chance, Bill Brinsfield, Maudie Viola Thomas and Bessie Henderson; her son-in-law Sergio Flores and her grandson Charen Flores.
Ruth will be sorely missed by all those she touched.
