Ruth and I were classmates at Gray Jr. High and also Lincoln High School. I always enjoyed my friendship with Ruth and so loved to hear her sing. That was always the highlight of any assembly at which Ruth sang. Ruth was a beautiful person both internally and externally, she was blessed. I lost track of her after HS graduation but have thought of her many times. I am saddened at her passing but know she is with her savior and her family members who preceeded her. To sing in the Lincoln High School a cappela choir was wonderful. Ruth was one of the best! Wish I had known she was at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. I would have loved to hear her sing again. We had the great opportunity to sing with Paul Robeson on the Temple Theater Stage Nov.19, 1941.
