Ruth Marion SheatsIn loving memory of Ruth Marion Sheats, who passed away in her home on May 23, 2004 at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of Emil and Francis Giske (deceased) of Ballard, Ruth served the public and heath community at the Lakewood Chiropractic Clinic in Lakewood for over 30 years, working alongside her husband Dr. Donald L. Sheats, who preceded her in death. Known for her artistic talent and generous spirit, Ruth previously worked as the art director for Panorama City in Olympia. In addition, she worked in banking for many years at SeaFirst Bank in Olympia. She contributed to many charities through monetary donations and time. Ruth was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and is survived by her 3 daughters Deborah Ryan of Portland, OR, Patricia Diamond and her husband Wally of Rainier, Suzanne Oehl of Lakewood, 2 step-children William Sheats and Cheryl Crosswhite, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), 5 step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. We loved her and she will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. View Valley Chapel.
