Ruth Jeffries' Obituary
Ruth Marie Jeffries
October 8th, 1929 - February 8th, 2012
It was a frosty October day in the hills of "The Lake of the Ozark". Near the small community of Brumley, Missouri there was a newborn baby's cry echoed through the hills. A small fragile child was born to Everett Allen and Oma Jeffries. This child was named Ruth Marie Jeffries. Ruth would struggle to survive through the Great Depression, scarlet fever and other child hood diseases, only to be stricken by Alzheimer's in the end. Ruth was a hard worker. She first worked as a fruit picker in Eastern Washington and later she worked as a waitress and a bartender here in Tacoma. Ruth married Iven L. Poling and has two children, Timothy L. Poling and Brenda Joy (Poling) Lenzi. Ruth has five grandchildren, Melody Fraizer, Inge Gill, Zack Poling (deceased), Brenda Lounsbury, and step-grandchild Marino Lenzi III. She has six great-grandchildren, Brandon Campuzano, Jessica Olsen, Miracle Fraizer, Austin Rach, Katelyn Poling, and Janie Poling, and one great-great-grandchild, Ella Olsen. Three of Ruth's sisters, Doris Poling, Bonnie Kiser, and Norma Dahm, were waiting at Heaven's Gate for their sister's coming. Ruth has a sister, Billie Sue Christepher, and a brother, Gerald (Bud) Jeffries, whom she had to leave behind. Ruth lived her life with the wealth of love, family and good friends; she was strong but kind, and gentle. Ruth was loved by all her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Mom we love you dearly!
