Ruth Emery's Obituary
Life long resident, Ruth C. Emery, 89, passed away on May 13, 2013. She was born to Emer and Clara (Hagen) Jorgensen on August 23, 1923 in Tacoma, WA.
Ruth attended Lincoln High School and was Yell Queen in 1942. Ruth married her best friend Wilfred. Together they owned and operated the Cloud Nine Tavern, that was located off 54th and South Tacoma Way from 1955 to 1963. The family will remember enjoying days at the Beach with her and Wilfred in Rosedale. Ruth was a very talented artist.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Connie Steckler (Nicholas); granddaughters, Lisa (Andy) Sprague and Angela (Kurt) Erickson; grandsons, Christopher and Michael Menotti; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sara, Shari and Shelby and great-great granddaughter, Nora. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband.
Cryptside service will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, May 17, 2013 at Mountain View Cemetery.
