Ruth Elizabeth Crouch's Obituary
Ruth Elizabeth Crouch Age 80, of Lakewood, passed away suddenly on Monday. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Lakewood, having been born here on November 16, 1931. She was raised by her mother Phyllis, and stepfather Howard Toner. She graduated from Clover Park High School, Class of '49. She was very proud of her family, and along with her husband Bob, raised two children, Mike Crouch (Debi) and Jenny Crouch Smith (Joe). She loved volunteering her time to the community. She gave 9 gallons of blood over the years to the blood bank, and was on the Board of Directors with the Friends of Lakewood Library. Ruth is also survived by her loving sister Glenda Harper (Kenneth), grandchildren Robert Wilton, Molly Anne Hernandez (Matt), Kimmy Jefferson, Ryan Vita, Josh Smith (Sarah), Jeremy Smith (Candace), Dan Vita (Nadine), and Danette Boling (Charles), and 13 great-grandchildren. Ruth will be interred at the Ft. Lewis Cemetery at a family only ceremony. A memorial service for Ruth will be held in December, date to be decided later. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
