Ruth E. Timblin's Obituary
Ruth E. Timblin, 87, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Tacoma Lutheran home in Tacoma, Washington. She was born to Christ G. and Lydia M. (Thompson) Mathison on November 30, 1922 in Cumberland, Wisconsin. In 1946, she married Carl Timblin in Cumberland, WI. He preceded her in death in 1984. She worked for many years as a Chief Operator for McChord Air Force Base. Ruth's memberships included United Lutheran Church, Eagles and R.E.A.C. Club.
Ruth is survived by her only daughter, Carlene (Adelbert) Garner; grandsons, Bruce (Jennifer) Garner & family, Brent (Amy) Garner & family; sisters, Verna Osterholm of Auburn, WA, Evelyn Zappatello of Cumberland, WI and Leona Robarge of Rice Lake, WI; brother, Eugene Mathison of Gainsville, FL.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Mountain View Memorial Park followed by a 3pm public memorial service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tacoma. Memorial contributions can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
