I was fortunate enough to know Ruth and to work with her during AORN Congress in the registration area when I was a very young OR Nurse. She was a mentor to many and a friend to all. She was a leader at a time that AORN needed strong leadership. She will be missed.

Ruth was the neighbor of everyone on the Key Peninsula. I will miss her buzzing up and down our street going to one of her meetings, committees, church happenings, and basically anything that was going on in the Key. She was never in so much of a hurry she couldn’t stop and chat awhile about family and friends. Our neighborhood will greatly miss her keen eye and willingness to help. I was lucky to call this amazing woman friend for over 30 years. Rest In Peace Ruth. I will try to live as long as you and drive up and down the street stopping to talk to our neighbors. I won’t do all the meetings though. Wendy
