RUTH MARIE (GEORGE) ANDERSON
In loving memory of a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Friend
Ruth Marie (George) Anderson was born to parents Harold and Irene George on June 24, 1951 in Tacoma, WA. The third of eight children, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Fred and Frank. She is survived by her daughter Jaymie Harvey, granddaughter Emma Williams, sisters Nina Henderson, Jeanne Qunell, Donna George, Eva Pinson, and brother Donald George, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Anyone who encountered Ruth knew that she was strong, a hard worker and a dedicated mother and grandmother. Ruth loved shopping, and always knew just the right gifts to give to those she loved. She also enjoyed trips to the beach. But there is nothing Ruth loved more than her family and anyone could tell how much she enjoyed spending time with them!
Strong and fighter though she was, Ruth lost her long, hard battle with cancer on June 12, 2018 in Tigard, OR. She fought with grace, love and dignity, never losing her appreciation for life. Our hearts cannot express our sorrow at losing her so early, but we know that she has moved on to a better place. While she is no longer with us, she will never really leave us - her beauty and love has imprinted upon our hearts, and she will always be with us.

Ruth Anderson’s Celebration of Life will be held graveside, on June 29, 2018 at 11:30am at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery (253-584-0252), 4100 Steilacoom Boulevard SW, Lakewood, WA 98499.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth Marie Anderson’s name to pancreatic cancer research, or efforts to end child hunger.
