I feel badly about not keeping in better contact with Russ after he retired. He made working at Keithley Middle School much more fun. There was a definite void when he left. He serenaded me once with the Univ. of Idaho fight song. Being an alumni, I loved it.##imported-begin##ann maughan##imported-end##

We had been friends since 1952, starting freshman at Montpelier High School...went to college at U of I together, and I loved him dearly. Spent uncountable hours just enjoying his great company and wonderful character. Hope to meet him again when this life is over....so we can repeat the second life around...he will be missed, but with much love and fond memories...some totally hysterical....##imported-begin##Sonja Quayle##imported-end##
You will be forever in our hearts. Funny, outrageous, loveable, talented, a being of laughter and joy. You brought so much laughter to the world with your poems and antics and made the whole world blush with embarrasment with your pranks. You have left a void with your passing that will now be filled with wonderful memories.##imported-begin##Connie Cannny##imported-end##
I am sad to lose such a dear person. Russell put up with three giggly, silly girls when we were practicing. He was an outstanding accompanist during our wonderful high school years. We, all our classmate, benefited so much from his gigantic talent. We will be comforted by happy memories.##imported-begin##Mary Ann B. Davenport##imported-end##

We met Russ when our sister-in-law, Mary Lou was teaching with Russ in 1967. We have wonderful memories of all the fun we had with the Keithly staff and how supportive they have always been of our family members. Russ was a terrific person and we extend our condolences to all his friends. Kathy and Charlie##imported-begin##Kathy and Charlie Clarke##imported-end##
I loved Russell like a brother. He made the world a better place with his joie de vivre and he will be sorely missed by me and my husband who really enjoyed him when he visited us in Tucson. My memories of him and his puckishness go back forty years. We were the Keithley Gang and we all will miss him. Rest in peace, dear Russell##imported-begin##Houston and Coralie Ames##imported-end##
