He graduated in 1956 and was employed as an aerodynamicist and flight test engineer at Douglas Aircraft Co. until 1960. He was devoted to and beloved by his family; his wife of 56 years, Myra Merle; his daughter, Cheryl Lynn, her husband, Walter Carl and their children, Daniel Louis, William Carl, and Elizabeth Rose; his son, Jeffrey Alan and his children, Grace McKenna, Nicholas Demitri and Liam Nelson; and his youngest son, Christopher Ehrin and his wife, Diana Frances. Marvin also leaves a brother, Richard Lee and his wife Suellen, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Russell Marvin Sr. and Ruth Marie Crettol.
Marvin was a gentle, caring soul respected by many and loved by all and of whom one friend said -Å"What is there not to like about Marvin?- He led an exemplary, if quiet, life. He leaves a large void.
