He was a Major when I knew him. I was an A1C, Radio Repairman at the 6981st Security Group, Elmendorf AFB, AK. He had a picture of a P-51 on the office wall. I remember him best for the Certificate of Recognition He approved for the work that I accomplished. He was a very dignified but personable man. Though many years have passed, the memory remains as a vivid reminder of my youth.
